Fresh, Regional Ingredients from Tenerife: From the farm directly to our breakfast table and kitchen

At Jardin de la Paz, we place great importance on high-quality, seasonal and, whenever possible, locally sourced ingredients. For us, good food is just as much a part of a special holiday in Tenerife as peace and quiet, nature and views of the Atlantic.

One of our local partners is Milagro Verde Organic Farm, located in nearby La Orotava. At an altitude of around 850 metres, the family passionately grows organic fruit and vegetables according to the principles of permaculture. Without chemical fertilisers or pesticides and with a deep respect for the soil, plants and natural resources, the farm produces exceptionally fresh and flavoursome food – from aromatic avocados and papayas to special and heritage vegetable varieties.

Many of the fresh ingredients we use for our breakfast and in our kitchen come directly from the farm. Seasonal fruits such as oranges, papayas and avocados can be found on our breakfast buffet, while special vegetables, depending on the season, also feature in our evening menus.

We also regularly use fresh ingredients from Milagro Verde Organic Farm in our evening meals at Jardin de la Paz. This allows us to turn regional produce into creative, seasonal dishes and gives our guests the opportunity to experience the variety and quality of the farm’s produce for themselves.

A seasonal organic vegetable box for your holiday kitchen

This option is particularly appealing to guests who enjoy cooking during their holidays and appreciate fresh, organic and locally grown ingredients.

The apartments at Jardin de la Paz offer the opportunity to prepare your own meals. Depending on the apartment, you will have a practical kitchenette or, in our larger apartments, a fully equipped kitchen – perfect even if you enjoy preparing more elaborate meals.

As a complement to your stay, you can order a seasonal organic fruit and vegetable box from Milagro Verde Organic Farm through us. The box is prepared with fresh, seasonal produce. You are also welcome to let us know if you have preferences for particular ingredients, subject to what is available from the current harvest. The price is approximately €20 per box.

This way, you can bring a little piece of authentic Tenerife into your own holiday kitchen: fresh produce directly from the farm, organically grown and cultivated with great respect for nature.
